Karin Bogue
AMBA Faculty
Karin Bogue is a licensed attorney and customs broker with over 25 years of experience working in international trade and compliance. Karin’s diverse experience includes employment with a customs broker, U.S. Customs & Border Protection, a law firm, and two importers, Komatsu America and Northrop Grumman. She has created and organized import compliance departments, initiated and directed cross-functional C-TPAT teams, developed training programs for import compliance and served as a consultant to major importers. She is also the author of a number of trade articles, training manuals, textbooks and online courses for international trade compliance. Before joining the SUO faculty, she spent 10 years as and adjunct teaching business law and ethics and developing and teaching international compliance courses for various universities.


Ronald Crowe, Ph.D.
AMBA Faculty
Ronald Crowe serves as an Associate Professor in the School of Business for South University. He teaches business courses in finance, micro-and-macro economics, and quantitative methods. Ronald has been a successful entrepreneur in advertising, agricultural sales, economic consulting, and financial planning. Dr. Crowe’s background in education includes teaching and faculty positions at the collegiate level for 20 years. He has been a department chair and director at three colleges and universities. He is a committed educator, who seeks to develop wisdom in his students via applications of best practices and processes. His personal mission is to develop tomorrow’s business leaders. Dr. Crowe utilizes teamwork to build the leadership experience of students.


Susan E.M. Davis, Ph.D.
Program Chair of the College of Business
Susan came to South University in 2009 to serve as Program Chair for the College of Business and Professor of Management. Prior to joining South University, she served as both a faculty member and developer of both graduate and undergraduate programs for two universities. Davis is a Sam Walton Fellow for Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) and has published articles on innovation, leadership and change management from an entrepreneurial perspective. Before Susan moved into higher education, she served as a senior financial executive for several Fortune 50 corporations including Whirlpool Corporation, Mellon National Bank and Eastman Kodak. She is CEO and President of Strategic Business Solutions, a consulting firm established in 1998 that focuses on strategic planning and management of small to medium-sized businesses.


William Hahn, Ph.D.
AMBA Faculty
William holds a BA degree from Emory University, and Master’s and Ph.D. degrees from Georgia State University. He completed post-doctoral studies at the University of Minnesota, and TQM training from U.S. Army (SATCOM) and from W. Edwards Deming. In his 30 years of teaching at the university and collegiate level, he has taught courses and published in business, management and organizational behavior areas, as well as training and educational methodology. Dr. Hahn has been a consultant and trainer with corporations and companies, military, law enforcement and government agencies. William is active in the community and civic organizations. He is presently a Director and past Chair of the Board of Crimestoppers of Savannah, and has served in reserve law enforcement for many years.


W. David Jones, Ph.D.
AMBA Faculty
David received his doctorate from Indiana University in Management and Organizational Behavior after completing his graduate and undergraduate work at Augusta State University and the University of Tennessee. Prior to joining South University TBA was in organizational development for Marathon Oil Company, a $20-billion integrated energy company located in Texas, and worked with Marathon's executives and managers to plan organizational improvement strategies and to lead their implementation. Before joining Marathon, TBA was with CIGNA HealthCare where he was responsible for planning and implementing approaches to quality and process improvement. He has also worked in the shipbuilding industry, an engineer with DuPont and has served as a faculty member at some of the nation’s top universities. David has consulted with numerous organizations including Tenneco, GE Capital, Wheelabrator Technologies, and Jefferson Lab.


Susan W. Long, Ph.D.
AMBA Faculty
Susan owns and operates S. W. Long, Ph.D. a litigation support and business consulting business located in the Tampa Bay area that does economic valuations, business appraisals and statistical analysis and testifies to her results in circuit, state and federal courts. She has qualified in court as an expert witness in Florida as well as parts South Carolina, Louisiana, Texas; and tax court. Susan received her Ph.D. in finance, statistics, and economics at the University of South Carolina and has been a university professor in statistics and finance for several decades. Susan is active in her field and community, and was the founding president of the West Central Florida Chapter of the Institute of Business Appraisers and Krewes Kare, whose volunteers gather and distribute emergency relief supplies.


Douglas Mitchell Stein, Ph.D., CPA, CMA
AMBA Faculty
Doug is an educational professional with extensive experience in the post-secondary education field. He is currently the Academic Director of Online and Blended Programs with South University, responsible for improving the student and faculty experience through the development of new undergraduate and graduate online programs, academic processes, and technology-based initiatives. He has served as the dean of business and information technology programs at the university level and as an assistant professor teaching undergraduate and graduate coursework in accounting information systems, advanced accounting information systems, information systems auditing, and microcomputer applications. Dr. Stein’s research interests span online education, educational assessment, information systems, information systems auditing, and professional ethics.


Steven K. Yoho, Ph.D.
Dean of the College of Business
Steven came to South University in 2007 to serve as Dean for the College of Business and Professor of Management. Prior to joining South University, he served as Associate Dean of the College of Business and Professor of Management at the university level, leading the development of a professional MBA program and online foundation courses. He has been recognized as an Outstanding MBA Professor five times. He has been the president of a specialty construction/engineering firm serving the construction industry and worked in the manufacturing sector as both a plant manager and HR manager. He is a member of the Academy of Management and the Southern Academy of Management.
