Dr. James W. Fetterman, Jr.
As Associate Professor and Experiential Coordinator of the Department of Pharmacy Practice at South University’s School of Pharmacy, Dr. James W. Fetterman, Jr. has served as founder and president of a home infusion practice where he was also the clinical pharmacist with responsibilities for direct pharmaceutical care.
In addition, he was responsible for establishing home infusion practices for two other companies in the Savannah area.
He has practiced as a clinical pharmacist in the medical center setting where his areas of practice included pediatrics, pediatric intensive care, and adult internal medicine, surgery, nephrology and orthopedics.
Dr. Fetterman has also served as the director of pharmacy in a regional trauma center. He has lectured to many professional organizations and schools of pharmacy and medicine in the area of nutritional support as well as various other topics in pharmacy practice.
Dr. Fetterman received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Mercer University School of Pharmacy. He continued his education by completing a specialty residency in Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition and Home Health Care at Mercer University School of Pharmacy, Georgia Baptist Medical Center, and Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, GA.
Dr. Fetterman is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Georgia Pharmacist Association (GPA) and is an active member of several national and local professional organizations. He has held several offices in local professional organizations including President of the Savannah Pharmaceutical Association. He has also served on committees of several professional organizations.
