  John Burns, PA-C, MMSc

John Burns serves as Program Director for the Physician Assistant (PA) Program at South University.


Prior to joining South University, Burns worked full time as a PA in clinical practice in Endocrinology in Savannah, Georgia. Earlier in his career, he worked as a PA in Family Practice in Fayetteville, Georgia.


Burns earned a bachelor of science in Education graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia. In addition, he earned a master of medical science degree as a Physician Assistant from Emory University. He is a member of the AAPA, APAP, and GAPA and continues his part-time clinical practice in Endocrinology.
