Fast Fact: South University, Austin opened in 2010 and is tied to a long-standing tradition of excellence in education and personalized student attention. South University traces its heritage to 1899, when Dr. John Draughon established Draughon’s Practical Business College in Savannah, Georgia.

The Austin campus has gained firsthand knowledge of community needs through partnerships with Capital Area Food Bank of Texas, Round Rock Public Library, Habitat for Humanity, Partners in Education, and other Austin organizations.
