John Jacobs
Physician Assistant Studies
Savannah, GA
The Satilla Heart Center located in Waycross, GA recruited South University alumnus and Physician Assistant John Jacobs to assist in expanding the hospital’s cardiology services than ever experienced at its Regional Medical Center.
Jacobs is playing an integral role in working with cardiologists to develop a broader continuum of care for cardiology patients. Jacobs, working in tandem with Cardiologists Dr. Gregory Uhl and Dr. Darrel Collins, is performing diagnostic procedures and promoting prevention, wellness and patient education.
Jacobs, who holds a B.S. in Nursing, received a master of science in Physician Assistant from South University.
"John is just one of the many examples of how our graduates are taking what they learn at South University and developing successful careers in their profession," said Bob Philpot, PhD, Director for the Physician Assistant program at South University "Our reputation for recruiting top students and graduating outstanding PAs continues to grow as evidenced by the growing interest in our program each year."
Jacobs and his wife, Lyn, have two children.
