South University's Savannah, GA campus is home to the School of Business, School of Health Professions, and School of Pharmacy.
The original School of Business building was constructed in 1979 and then renovated in 2000. Also in 2000, the Health Professions building was opened and houses classroom and lab facilities for the Physician Assistant, Physical Therapist Assisting, and Medical Assisting programs. The Health Professions Building also houses the campus library, student lounge, and administrative offices.
In 2002, South University announced the establishment of the School of Pharmacy on the Savannah campus. Completion of this program culminates in the university's first doctoral degree, a distinction that has positioned South University as the first university or college in Savannah to offer a health professions doctorate.
The campus library houses a large collection that includes an extensive law library. Students may retrieve periodicals in paper or electronic form. The campus library houses a large book collection that includes extensive law, business and medical resources. Students may also retrieve articles in print and electronic formats from its collection of periodicals, many of which are accessible anywhere from on- or off-campus. Some of the sources that make these services available include: WESTLAW, the computerized legal research service; GALILEO, the Georgia network of databases, Ovid Technologies, and LIRN, a Florida based database service.
In 2007, the library was relocated to a new dedicated facility on the Savannah, GA campus adding space, computer labs, classrooms and study areas.
