Description South University’s Montgomery campus began serving Alabama students in 1997. In 2003 the campus relocated to a 26,000 square foot, two-story campus on 3.75 acres on Montgomery’s growing east side. The campus is outfitted with wireless technology, a student center, medical lab, computer lab, library and access to a variety of research databases. South University is a private academic institution dedicated to providing educational opportunities for the intellectual, social and professional development of a diverse student population. Approximately 48 percent of students are pursuing associate’s degrees, 43 percent of students bachelor’s degrees, and 9 percent master’s degrees. The students are young professionals seeking to advance or start new careers. Accreditation South University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award associate, baccalaureate, masters, and doctorate degrees. The University is authorized by the State Approving Agency to train veterans under chapters 31, 34 and 35.
