South University Names Bruce Mallard, PhD Interim President of Savannah, Ga. Campus

Bruce Mallard, Ph.D. has been named Interim President of South University's Savannah, GA campus, replacing John Peterson who was recently named President of South University's West Palm Beach, Fla. campus.
Dr. Mallard will serve as Interim President of the Savannah campus while the University conducts a national search for a President.
Dr. Mallard has served as Dean of Academic Affairs at the Savannah campus since September 2006 and will continue his duties while serving as Interim President. Prior to joining South University served as Professor and Chairman of the Department of Criminal Justice at Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN. He has also served as a field research coordinator for The Associated Press and as an area and state manager for the Voter News Service.
Dr. Mallard was also the founder and president of the Southeastern Paralegal Institute with locations in Nashville, TN and Dallas, TX. During his career he has been involved with numerous accreditations at the state, national and regional level and has served as an instructor at annual meetings of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
He earned a bachelor's degree from George Peabody College, a master's degree from Middle Tennessee State University and his PhD from the University of Tennessee.
