Matthew Mills has been named South University’s Vice President of Admissions. Mills joined South University in October 2005 as a Senior Director of Admissions, and his promotion ensures a smooth transition for the Admissions function as the current Vice President of Admissions will retire at the end of this year.
As the Vice President of Admissions, he is responsible for the implementation of effective strategies to increase enrollment, keeping pace with growing campuses and program offerings across the University’s five campus system. He will be responsible for leading the Senior Directors of Admissions at each campus and ensuring that each director has the tools and resources he or she needs for success.
“Matthew has demonstrated his commitment and achieved success by almost doubling undergraduate enrollment in Savannah,” said John T. South, III, chancellor of South University. “He has the leadership qualities to develop admissions teams who do the right thing, which is to always stay focused on helping our new students.”
Matthew Mills brings with him over 15 years of experience in sales, service, customer relationship management, and seven of those years were dedicated to student recruitment for higher education. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration from East Carolina University.
