South University will confer 143 degrees on Saturday, June 20, at 11:00 a.m. at the Palm Beach County Convention Center, and, for the first time, seven Master of Business Administration degrees will be awarded. With over 1,000 friends and family members present, South University alumnus Leslie A. Nagle, president and CEO of Absolutely Legal, Inc., will deliver the commencement address.
Graduates will earn degrees in a variety of fields ranging from Business Administration and Legal Studies to Nursing and Physical Therapist Assisting, which is one of the university's most popular programs. Notably, 58 students will earn their bachelor's-level degrees in Nursing. South University will confer to its graduates 18 with master's-level degrees, 123 bachelor-level degrees, and 42 associate-level degrees.
"Commencement is a wonderful time to recognize the hard work and commitment of all of our graduates," said David McGuire, president. "But I would like to take a moment to express my regard for the 37 students who are graduating with honors, which requires a 3.0 grade point average or above. These students have gone the extra mile and deserve special recognition."
About Leslie A. Nagle
Leslie A. Nagle graduated Summa Cum Laude from South University's Paralegal program in June 1999. While a student, Ms. Nagle served as the President of the Pro-Bono Paralegal Association and currently sits on South University's Advisory Board for the Legal Studies program. She also mentors current South University students in the Paralegal program. She is an active member of the Paralegal Association of Florida in both Palm Beach and Martin Counties. Ms. Nagle is also the Vice-President of the West Palm Beach Chapter of the American Staffing Association.
Ms. Nagle has worked in many areas of the law, including Family, Adoption, Guardianship, Trust Probate, Estate Planning and Corporate and built her own paralegal staffing company, Absolutely Legal, Inc., in West Palm Beach.
