Description
South University’s Savannah campus is located on the Southside of Savannah. The original School of Business building was constructed in 1979, and the campus began a period of transformation in 2000. Undergoing renovation and new construction, the campus today consists of four buildings, including a library and the iconic clock tower. In 2002, South University launched its School of Pharmacy, becoming the first university in Savannah to offer a health professions doctorate.
South University is a private academic institution dedicated to providing educational opportunities for the intellectual, social and professional development of a diverse student population.

The campus had a Fall 2010 enrollment of 1,511 and a Spring 2011 enrollment of 1,424 students with over 125 faculty members. Approximately 19 percent of students are pursuing doctorate degrees; 21 percent are pursuing master’s degrees; 25 percent are pursuing bachelor’s degrees; and 35 percent are pursuing associate’s degrees. The students are young professionals seeking to advance or start new careers.

The online programs had a Fall 2010 enrollment of 16,552 and a Spring 2011 enrollment of 15,815 with over 1,200 faculty members. Approximately 6 percent of students are pursuing master’s degrees; 44 percent are pursuing bachelor’s degrees; and 50 percent are pursuing associate’s degrees.
