Columbia, SC Mayor Declares October 25, 2006 'South University Day'

CITY OF COLUMBIA PROCLAMATION
OCTOBER 25, 2006

WHEREAS, South University is celebrating the opening of its new campus in Columbia, South Carolina on October 25, 2006; and

WHEREAS, South University has been a valued contributor and provider of higher education in the City of Columbia; and

WHEREAS, South University offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degrees; and

WHEREAS, South University has demonstrated an unwaivering commitment to offering high-quality college-level programs for its students ; and

WHEREAS, South University is committed to continuing to be a leader in higher education in this area and throughout the Southeast

NOW, THEREFORE I, Robert D. Coble, Mayor of the City of Columbia, of the great state of South Carolina along with my fellow members of Columbia City Council, do hereby proclaim October 25, 2006 as

South University Day

in the City of Columbia and urge all citizens to recognize and participate in its observance.
