South University Dedicates Austin Campus

Austin, TX – March 6, 2012 – On March 5, South University dedicated its new Austin campus with a very special celebration. Campus President Dr. Marie Neal was joined by a number of special guests, including South University Chancellor John T. South, III; Representative Larry Gonzales, District 52; Rene’ Campos, Ambassador for the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce; and faculty, students, and guests from the Austin community. Remarks about the university’s exciting entry into a community focused on education and technology culminated in a ribbon-cutting and balloon drop, followed by guided tours of the 59,000 square foot campus.
Expanding the South University footprint in Texas, the Austin campus will offer areas of study in line with Austin’s key industries and sectors: Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Healthcare Management, Information Technology, and Behavioral Sciences. Local advisory boards will be created and consulted to inform expanded degree offerings, based on Austin workforce needs.
