South University names David McGuire as President, West Palm Beach

South University is pleased to announce that David McGuire has been named the President of the West Palm Beach campus. McGuire joins South University from Sullivan University and is relocating from Georgetown, Kentucky to south Florida.
"Mr. McGuire's experience is just what we need at South University," said John T. South, III, chancellor of South University. "He brings with him a broad experience that spans the people and the technology sides of higher education. I am confident that he will make a positive impact with the students, the faculty and the community in Palm Beach County. "
Serving as the Executive Director at Sullivan for five years, McGuire directed a 1250-student operation in both online and on ground settings. He led a faculty and staff of 140 employees, improving the quality of the educational process for students and the work environment.
McGuire's prior work experience includes serving as College President for McIntosh College in Dover, New Hampshire; Campus Director for ITT Technical Institute in Norwood, Massachusetts; and Vice President of Phillips Colleges, Inc., in Gulfport, Mississippi. Cumulatively, he has over 25 years of leadership experience in higher education and significant tenure at each institution. He has consistently grown these institutions and promoted collaborative, high-performance work environments.
Established in 1899, South University is a private academic institution dedicated to providing educational opportunities for the intellectual, social and professional development of a diverse student population. South University offers educational programs at the associate's, bachelor's, master's and doctoral level with campuses located in Columbia, S.C., Montgomery, Ala., Savannah, Ga., Tampa and West Palm Beach, Fla.
