South University Promotes Fundraiser for Georgia’s Official Civil Rights Museum
Thursday, May 20, 2010
Friday, May 21, The Ralph Mark Gilbert Civil Rights Museum will host “An Evening at the Museum,” a black-tie fundraiser. South University President Todd Cellini is an Honorary Chair for the event, along with Mayor Otis Johnson, County Chairman Pete Liakakis, Savannah State President Earl Yarborough, and St. Josephs/Candler Hospital CEO/President Paul Hinchey; and Pure Spectrum President/CEO Lee Vanatta. The event will include entertainment, fine food, a silent auction, and a live auction hosted by WTOC’s Sonny Dixon.
“The Civil Rights Museum is really something Savannah can be proud of,” said President Cellini. “With so many key Civil Rights leaders from Georgia and from Savannah, it is fitting that a museum of this quality be here, and I am proud that South University is supporting the museum’s mission, which is similar to our own, to promote educational opportunities.”
As an Honorary Chair for the event, President Cellini and the South University team planned the catering and organized the silent auction for the event.
