South University - Tampa Voted Among Best Companies to Work For in 2009

South University’s campus in Tampa, Fla., has been recognized as one of the Best Companies to Work for in 2009 by Florida Trend and is featured in the magazine’s August issue. The magazine comprises its “Best Companies to Work For” list each year, selecting winners from across the state and from an array of industries. To be recognized is an outstanding achievement for every organization that earns the honor of making the list.
South University’s Tampa campus was ranked 42nd among Florida’s best mid-sized companies in 2009. Selected companies were evaluated based on anonymous employee surveys. Employees were asked to comment on their employer’s leadership, planning and communication skills as well as their organization’s investment in employee training, development, pay and other benefits.
“I have known for some time that South University is a great place to work in Tampa and now everyone else in Florida will know it too,” said Dan Coble, Ph.D., RN, campus president. “Our faculty and staff understand the connection between great work environments and great learning environments, so everyone comes to work knowing that they are here to make a difference in the lives of our students.”
