Program Information

The Post Graduate Certificate in Nurse Educator Program at South University is designed for individuals who hold a master’s degree in nursing that has prepared them for practice in another advanced role or in an advanced nursing specialty.

Post-master’s nursing degree students must successfully complete graduate didactic and clinical requirements of the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a specialization in Nurse Educator, including the master’s core competencies and the specialization competencies.

The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) is scheduled to conduct an on-site evaluation of South University’s Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and Post Graduate Advance Practice Registered Nurse Certificate programs.

As part of that evaluation, written and signed third party comments will be accepted by CCNE until January 3, 2015. All comments regarding the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and Post Graduate Advance Practice Registered Nurse Certificate (PGC) programs should be directed to:
