Authorization and Licensure
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at South University is authorized to operate by the Florida State Board of Nursing, the Alabama Board of Nursing, and the South Carolina Board of Nursing. It is licensed to award the degree of Bachelor of Science by the Commission for Independent Education, Florida Department of Education, and the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education.

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at South University – Columbia is authorized to operate by the South Carolina Board of Nursing. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at South University Montgomery is authorized to operate by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs at South University – Tampa and South University – West Palm Beach are approved by the Florida Board of Nursing. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at South University – Richmond is approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program at South University – Columbia is authorized to operate by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing.
The nursing program is approved by the State of Florida Department of Veterans Affairs and South Carolina State Office of Veterans Affairs, Division of Veterans Benefits and Assistance, for Veterans Training.
