South University welcomes Wei “Daniel” Deng, M.D. to the School of Pharmacy Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The South University, Savannah campus would like to welcome Wei “Daniel” Deng, M.D. as Assessment Coordinator for the School of Pharmacy Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. His responsibilities include data analysis, general survey development, and specific survey development associated with all South University School of Pharmacy educational outcomes and ACPE (Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education) standards.

    Pharmacy (PharmD)

    Established in 2002, the South University, Savannah Pharmacy School, located in Savannah, Georgia, was the first university or college in Savannah to offer a health professions doctorate. Our accelerated Doctor of Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D.) program is one of only a limited number nationwide and the only one in the Southeastern United States that provides four academic years of study within three calendar years.

    The South University, Savannah Pharmacy degree program is designed to provide progressive, quality post-graduate education for the pharmacy profession’s future practitioners. The role of pharmacists in the medical field is changing and evolving to meet the demands of the profession and society. The Pharmacy degree curriculum at South University, Savannah is structured to produce graduates who can adapt to the profession’s changes while also maintaining high standards of pharmacy practice.

    What Makes Our Pharmacy Degree Program Unique?

    Accelerated Program

    After being accepted to the South University School of Pharmacy, students begin an accelerated, full-time 12-quarter schedule designed to provide four academic years in three calendar years. This accelerated pace allows students an earlier entry into the workforce.

    It is one with a carefully structured curriculum to prepare graduates for both high standards of contemporary pharmacy practice and the evolution of the profession.
