Physician Assistant Studies Application Process

South University's Physician Assistant Studies program participates with the Central Application Service for Physician Assistants (CASPA). The CASPA application process requires submission of scores from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and transcripts.

Applications are currently being accepted for the class beginning in January 2012. If you apply now your application must be complete by the end of March 2011. The application service (CASPA) will close down at the end of March for maintenance and will reopen mid-April. If you apply in April and thereafter, your application must be complete by September 1, 2011, and you must have completed your GRE test by August 1, 2011.

To apply for the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies degree program at South University - Tampa, individuals must:

  1. Complete CASPA online Application including submission of all transcripts and GRE score.
  2. Request that official scores on the GRE General Test (verbal, quantitative, written essay) be sent directly to South University PA Program. Tampa school code is 1990. The GRE test is being revised. For more information download GRE information (PDF), or visit ETS.
  3. Submit a completed FAFSA application for those applying for financial aid.

Please do not send transcripts directly to South University. Transcripts should be sent to CASPA.
