Program Information

The South University Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program is designed to provide students with a process based curriculum versus the standard functional based curriculum. The foundation of this Richmond Business Administration master’s program is designed to provide a firm grounding in economics, decision-making, behavioral sciences, and strategic environment.

The core presents a functional approach to the long and short run decisions that must be made to deliver goods and services to constituents. South University recommends that each graduate business student have a laptop computer. Laptop computers are needed for the multi-media classroom, business research and electronic communication.

Program Outcomes

The MBA program can enhance your current or future career potential, and prepare you for exciting postgraduate work in business. Graduates of the MBA program are equipped with the knowledge and skills for business problem analysis, team and group leadership and the execution of effective solutions in various business situations.

Graduates may have competencies in critical thinking, persuasive communication, systems thinking, change management, leadership, diversity, and business ethics.

The following business programs at South University, Richmond, the Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting, Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management, and Master of Business Administration programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs ([ACBSP] 11520 West 119th Street; Overland Park, KS 66213; 913-339-9356; Other programs in the College of Business are excluded from ACBSP’s scope of accreditation. These programs include: Associate of Science in Accounting, Associate of Science in Business Administration, Association of Science in Information Technology, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Master of Public Administration, Master of Science in Accounting, Master of Science in Information Systems and Technology, Master of Science in Leadership and Doctor of Business Administration.
