Types of Financial Aid

There are numerous federal- and state-sponsored financial aid programs available to South University students who qualify. The university participates in the following:

Federal aid programs

  • Pell Grant (undergraduate students only)
  • Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant (SEOG), undergraduate students only
  • Perkins Loans
  • Federal Work Study
  • Student Loans - subsidized and unsubsidized
  • PLUS (Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students)

State aid programs

  • State Grants (Florida and Georgia)

Other financial aid programs

  • State Grants (where applicable)
  • State Work Study (where applicable)
  • Alternative or private loans
  • Veterans Benefits *

* Students must meet the eligibility requirements set forth by the Veterans Administration in order to receive benefits. Applicants eligible for veteran's benefits should contact the individual campus they are interested in attending for further information.
