South University’s West Palm Beach campus has been providing excellent student services since 1987. Known for its landmark Clock Tower and beautiful setting in the Palm Beaches, the campus offers a personalized and supportive learning environment. What attractions are near the campus?
Located in Royal Palm Beach, the campus is just a short drive from downtown West Palm Beach and the Atlantic coast. Students can enjoy nearby attractions such as the Palm Beach Outlets, Mounts Botanical Garden, and the Norton Museum of Art. The area also offers easy access to beaches, golf courses, and year-round outdoor activities.
How close is the campus to downtown West Palm Beach or local landmarks?
South University’s West Palm Beach campus is approximately 20 minutes west of downtown West Palm Beach. It’s conveniently situated near major roadways like Southern Boulevard and Florida’s Turnpike, making it easily accessible from surrounding areas.

Yes, parking is available on-site for students, faculty, and visitors.
What public transportation options exist?
Public transportation in Palm Beach County is provided by Palm Tran (https://www.palmtran.org/ ). Several routes serve the Royal Palm Beach area, and students can use the Palm Tran app for real-time tracking and trip planning. Additionally, the Tri-Rail commuter train connects West Palm Beach to other parts of South Florida.

While none of the programs at the West Palm Beach campus have any paid internships, the director of the university works with local businesses and healthcare centers to find partnerships. Federal Work Study is available for students and South encourages students to apply.

What dining options are available?
South University does not offer on-campus dining. The West Palm Beach campus has two break rooms, one in each building, with vending machines and fresh foods available. The Royal Palm Beach area also offers a wide range of dining options with local cafés and Latin cuisine, fast-casual chains, and other international restaurants nearby.
