South University Nursing Faculty Member & Student Win 2007 Nurse Distinction Awards

A South University faculty member and student have been honored as the Nurse Educator of the Year and Nursing Student of the Year by the Palm Healthcare Foundation, Inc. in Palm Beach County. The two were presented with the Foundation's 2007 Nurse Distinction Awards.
Priscilla Bartolone, department chair for South University's Nursing program, and Lisa Einkauf, a nursing student at the West Palm Beach campus, received their honors during a recent ceremony at The Breakers Hotel. The awards recognize nurses who have made a difference in Palm Beach County.
"Congratulations to Priscilla and Lisa on your outstanding work and for making a difference in Palm Beach County from the faculty and staff at South University," said John T. South, III, chancellor. "Winning the 2007 Nurse Distinction Awards is not only a great honor, it is representative of your hard work both in and out of the classroom."

Other award winners included professionals from Bethesda Memorial Hospital, Oakwood Center of the Palm Beaches, Palms West Hospital, Hospice of Palm Beach County, the VA Medical Center and Children's Medical Services.
