Admission to the South University School of Pharmacy’s accelerated three-year degree program is extremely competitive. This year, the University had more than 900 applications for approximately 165 available slots.

South University utilizes the PharmCAS system for applications. All transcripts and letters of recommendation, should be sent directly to PharmCAS. Applications will not be reviewed until these are received. Direct applications to South University will not be processed.

Comments on above:

(1) One English Composition course is required. A second English Composition may be accepted in lieu of Literature at the discretion of the Assistant Dean for Admissions.

(2) British, American, World Literature or Mythology is required to meet the Literature requirement. Other Literature courses may be accepted at the discretion of the Assistant Dean for Admissions.

(3) Courses in Fine Arts, Foreign Languages, Humanities, or Social/Behavioral Sciences are required. Other coursework may be accepted at the discretion of the Assistant Dean for Admissions. Math or computer science courses will not be accepted.

(4) Students with science courses taken seven years prior to the current admissions cycle will be required to retake one modern Biology course and one modern Chemistry Course to meet course requirements. Laboratories must be taken in a live setting; no online labs will be accepted.

(5) Labs for these courses are recommended but not required.

**Although not required, it is recommended that students take a Microbiology course in preparation for the curriculum. Students are also encouraged to take a full load of coursework each semester or quarter to prepare for the accelerated pace of the Pharmacy program.**
