Dear South University Graduates,
I am honored to be among the first to congratulate you on earning your degree. I hope this commencement ceremony serves not only as a time of celebration, but also as a time of reflection on your accomplishment, and what it means for your future.
Commencement marks the day you realize the goal that you set for yourself when you first entered South University. Whether you are earning an undergraduate degree, or completing your formal education with a doctorate, the road that led to this day was likely filled with numerous personal sacrifices on your part. Many of you gave up time with family and friends in order to complete assignments, attend study groups, or prepare for exams. Some of you juggled the heavy responsibilities of a job and family while attending classes. But regardless of circumstance, each one of you met or exceeded the rigorous academic standards of our institution to earn the degree you are about to receive. I hope this effort serves as a great source of pride for you throughout your life.
There is no way to measure the difference your South University education will help you make in our world. Whether you are caring for the sick or injured as a healthcare professional, helping to grow a business that provides necessary goods and services, or ministering to the spiritual needs of others, your education has the ability to help you touch thousands of lives over the course of your career. The future is exciting, challenging, and filled with potential opportunity, and I wish you great success.
On behalf of everyone at South University, I extend sincerest congratulations again on this outstanding achievement.
Sincerely,John T. South, III
