We are proud to announce the South University, West Palm Beach Physician Assistant Program has been granted Accreditation-Continued status by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc.
The program has achieved the distinguished milestone of a 10-year accreditation period, reflecting its commitment to educational excellence and professional standards. This significant institutional achievement was accomplished through the leadership of Dr. Kristen Smethurst, Physician Assistant Department Chair; Lysa Diggins, Physician Assistant Program Director; and Dr. Ilaria Gadalla, Dean of the College of Health Professions.
Since its inception in January 2020, when the program welcomed the first cohort of Physician Assistant students at the West Palm Beach campus, the program has remained dedicated to its mission of expanding access to quality healthcare services throughout the local community.
This continued accreditation status affirms South University's ongoing commitment to preparing qualified healthcare professionals to meet the evolving needs of the medical field.
