South University and its subsidiaries (collectively South University) comply with federal and state laws and regulations applicable to consumer requests to not be contacted by phone call or text message for marketing purposes, sometimes referred to as “Do Not Call” laws. South University is committed to protecting and respecting consumers’ rights to privacy and to honoring consumers’ requests to not be contacted for marketing purposes. 

South University (including its agents) may contact consumers for marketing purposes via telephone calls and/or text messages who have provided consent to receive such communications from South University at their phone number(s). South University may contact such consenting consumers using an automatic telephone dialing system and/or an artificial or prerecorded voice. South University complies with all applicable consumer consent requirements under federal and state laws and regulations. 

Consumers who receive such marketing communications can request that South University not contact them at their phone number(s) in the future for marketing purposes. South University will record a consumer’s request to not be contacted, and the consumer will be added to South University’s Internal Do Not Call List. 

To be added to South University’s Internal Do Not Call List, consumers must provide South University with the number(s) at which they no longer wish to receive marketing communications. Consumers can supply their number(s) and make the request to not be contacted to South University through any reasonable method, including, but not limited to, by calling or texting South University. Consumers who properly submit such a request will not be contacted by South University on their phone numbers for marketing purposes more than ten (10) business days after South University’s receipt of the request. Such consumers will not be contacted by South University at their phone number(s) for marketing purposes for five (5) years from the date of the consumer’s request. A record of a consumer’s request to not be contacted will be retained by South University. If, prior to the expiration of five (5) years from the date of the request, the consumer makes a new request to be contacted for marketing purposes at the number(s) provided, South University may remove the consumer from the Internal Do Not Call List and may contact the consumer at their phone number(s) for marketing purposes. 

If a consumer is listed on the Internal Do Not Call List, and their name and number are later provided as part of a Personally Developed Referral (PDR), the consumer may not be contacted by telephone unless they personally inquire or verify that they may be taken off South University’s Internal Do Not Call List.

Please note that a request from a consumer to be added to South University’s Internal Do Not Call List does not preclude South University from contacting consumers via email or direct mail.

South University has established and implemented written procedures to ensure it honors consumers' requests to not be contacted at their phone numbers for marketing purposes. Appropriate personnel at South University have received training in these procedures. Procedures include, but are not limited to, consultation of both the National Do Not Call Registry and South University’s internal Do Not Call List prior to placing calls or text messages to consumers for marketing purposes. South University reviews the National Do Not Call Registry every 31 days and updates its internal Do Not Call List accordingly. 

Consumers may request a copy of this Policy. Upon receipt of the request, we will send a copy via U.S. mail or electronic mail within thirty (30) days. A link to this Policy is included in the footer of all South University - Member, LLC, its subsidiaries, and affiliated schools marketing properties.

This Policy does not apply to first or third-party collection calls, or to any other call which may be required by law or regulation.
