When Shayla Larry was first looking at South University, one of the things that caught her eye was the number of programs the school had to offer. She was already thinking ahead about pursuing a graduate education after her bachelor’s degree. First, though, she researched the school’s programs and talked with the Admissions team. Shayla eventually decided to start with a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management through South University’s online programs

“South University has a solid team that will walk you through every step of the enrollment process,” Shayla shares. “South University staff and faculty impacted me tremendously because they care so much about their students.”

In addition to the people she interacted with at the school, Shayla appreciated the many tools available to help her succeed. “My advice is to use all the resources South University has to offer for studying to achieve the grade you want,” she says.

Through her Healthcare Management courses, Shayla says she learned not only about healthcare but also about business. She was even able to apply what she learned about managing others to the job she held while earning her degree. After graduating with her Healthcare Management degree in 2022, Shayla went straight on pursuing a master’s degree. In October 2023, Shayla became a two-time South University graduate, earning her MBA in Healthcare Administration degree.

“I love helping people,” Shayla says. “I will use my degree to become a director in some type of healthcare setting.”*

To further prepare for that goal and gain additional knowledge in the healthcare field, Shayla has recently enrolled in the Master of Public Health program: her third program at South University!

Congratulations to Shayla on her educational accomplishments, and we’re proud to continue supporting her learning and growth.
