
South University School of Pharmacy is proud to celebrate the exceptional success of its Class of 2026, which achieved an impressive 94% PGY1 residency match rate among new graduates. This milestone reflects the strength of the program, the dedication of its students, and the unwavering support of faculty and staff.
A total of 16 graduates secured residency positions, representing more than a quarter of the graduating class. Residency placement is a significant step for pharmacy graduates, providing advanced clinical training and preparing them for specialized roles in patient care.
“This remarkable achievement reflects the hard work, perseverance, and commitment of our students, along with the mentorship and guidance they receive throughout their time at South University,” said Dean Adeniji. “We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and excited to see the impact they will make in the profession.”
For the overall match cycle, which includes both new graduates and alumni, SUSOP achieved a 90% PGY1 residency match rate, exceeding the national average of 84%. Together, these outcomes highlight the continued success and competitiveness of SUSOP graduates in the residency match process.
