That is the one word Marilyn W. Woodbury uses to describe how she got to where she is today. The 2015 South University, Online Programs RN to BSN graduate is now in charge of the healthcare of nearly one-thousand students in the Prince George's County Public Schools in Maryland.
Woodbury manages the health room at an elementary school with more than 950 students. There, she conducts screenings, provides health maintenance and education, and helps children manage any chronic conditions they may have.
Woodbury says earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing was a life-long goal, and she credits South University faculty members with giving her the skill and mindset to succeed.
Now, in addition to her work in the schools, Woodbury also uses her education to in the community at various health fairs where she educates both children and adults with a goal of helping them reach "optimal health."
