What makes the South University, Orlando campus unique?
South University’s Orlando campus offers a welcoming and respectful learning environment where students are supported both academically and personally. Located in the heart of Central Florida, the campus features small class sizes, personalized faculty attention, and flexible* learning options. Students may benefit from access to an Academic Success Center, Career Services, a student lounge, and both on-campus and virtual library resources.
The Orlando campus comes with a mock surgical lab, a nursing lab, and a skills lab where students can practice their hands-on skills.
*Programs, including all Clinical/Medical programs, have a required in-person clinical, practicum, or externship. We cannot guarantee flexibility in these components of the program.
What attractions are near the campus?
The Orlando campus is located near some of Central Florida’s most popular attractions. Students can enjoy easy access to shopping and dining at The Florida Mall, explore nature at Lake Conway or Cypress Grove Park, and take weekend trips to world-famous destinations like Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort, and ICON Park. The campus’s central location also places it near downtown Orlando’s cultural and entertainment districts.
How close is the campus to downtown Orlando or local landmarks?
South University’s Orlando campus is just 15 minutes south of downtown Orlando. It’s conveniently situated near major roadways, making it easily accessible from surrounding neighborhoods and suburbs.

Public transportation in Orlando is provided by Lynx (https://www.golynx.com/ ), which operates bus routes throughout the city and surrounding areas.

What student support services are available on campus?
The Orlando campus offers a variety of student support services, including:
- Remote academic advising and tutoring through the Academic Success Center
- Career Services for job search support, resume building, and interview prep
- Federal Work Study Programs are available for students who qualify
- Counseling services for academic, career, and personal concerns
- Disability services and accommodations
- Access to digital textbooks and learning platforms
Does the campus have a library, lounge, or tutoring center?
The Orlando campus has a student lounge where students can go to relax, study, and collaborate with fellow students. In addition, there is a computer lab with printing capabilities students can access for schoolwork or research. South University offers virtual access to our library and database and tutoring should students need it.
Are internships available through local businesses?
While traditional internships aren’t available, South University frequently partners with local business and hospital systems where students can make professional connections. Orlando Health and Advent Health are among the two main systems students may find themselves in through their clinical rotations.
Is the campus wheelchair accessible?
Yes. South University’s Orlando campus is fully wheelchair accessible and complies with ADA standards. Students needing accommodations can work with the campus’ Disability Services office.
What safety measures are in place on campus?
The Orlando campus follows South University’s safety protocols, including:
- Annual security reports
- Emergency response procedures

- Card readers for campus access
- Drug and alcohol policies

You can contact the admissions office by calling (855) 206-2769, or the front desk at (407) 393-3100. Office hours are Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
What programs are offered at South University, Orlando?
South University, Orlando offers the following programs in a variety of modalities1. While your courses may be completely online, when you enroll with the South University, Orlando campus, you have access to all its facilities and amenities.
Campus-Clinical Programs:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)2, 3
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)2, 3
Online Programs:
- Associate of Science in Allied Health Science (AS)
- Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BS)
- Master of Science in Information Systems (MS)
1 Modality varies by location and program.
2 Graduates are required to pass the national certification exam and obtain a state license in order to work in the field. (Exam names vary by program.) Please refer to the State Professional Licensure Determination and National Certification/Licensure section of the University catalog for additional information. South University cannot guarantee each graduate will pass the required licensure examinations. South University does not promise or guarantee licensure, employment or salary amounts.

What dining options are available?
South University does not offer on-campus dining; we do have vending machines on campus along with a fridge and coffee machine in our student lounge. The Orlando area around the campus offers Cuban cafés and Caribbean cuisine to fast-casual chains and international restaurants along South Orange Blossom Trail and nearby downtown Orlando.
